RoastFit — Privacy Policy

What we collect

RoastFit does not require an account. On first launch the app generates an anonymous device identifier (a random string starting with rf_) and stores it locally and on our backend. This is the only thing tied to you.

We also store, on our backend, the following — only because they're needed to generate the personalized roasts the app is built around:

• Your gym time (e.g. 06:30) — locally chosen, never shared.
• Your status for the day (idle / done / skip) and any skip reason you type.
• Replies you type back to a notification (we use them as material for future roasts so the AI can call back to your own words).
• Your streak count and the date you last marked DONE.

What we do NOT collect

• No name, no email, no phone, no contacts.
• No location.
• No advertising or analytics identifiers (IDFA).
• No biometrics, health data, or anything from HealthKit.
• No tracking across other apps or websites.

Third parties

The roast text is generated by Anthropic Claude (Haiku). The app sends Claude only what's needed to write a single sentence — your alias / optional first name, gym time, status, last skip reason, your last few replies, and the AI's prior message in the same conversation. Claude does not retain that data for training. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

Our backend runs on Vercel with a Neon Postgres database. Both sit behind HTTPS only.

Selling or sharing

We never sell, share, rent, or otherwise expose your device ID, replies, or any other data to anyone outside the providers above. Period.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app deletes the local device ID from your phone. To purge the server-side record (replies, streak, etc.), email the address below with your alias (e.g. COUCH GREMLIN, THE WEAK) — we'll wipe it within 7 days.

Children

RoastFit is rated 17+ for frequent profanity and is not intended for users under 17.
